Kristi Richard Melancon
Assistant Professor - English
In August 2011, I received my Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, where I specialized in Rhetoric, Writing, and Culture with a minor in Curriculum and Instruction. My teaching and research demonstrate my interests in African American literacy, rhetoric and race, composition studies, English Education, and civic engagement. I teach in MC's Writing Program, coordinate the English Secondary Education program, chair our university-wide Community Engagement Committee, and am the faculty sponsor for the Catholic Student Association and Campus Cursive.
